How we charge
Fixed Fees → for defined services, such as initial appointments/consultations, bespoke agreed work or workshops.
Hourly Rates → for on-going or complex matters.
VAT → charges at 20% which is generally applicable.
Payments in Advance → required to secure bookings.

Compliance checks are mandatory before onboarding and may be repeated during your matter.

Workshops and bespoke services may require additional information before a fee can be confirmed.

Expenses owed to the firm, such as:
- Accommodation + reasonable subsistence
- Travel Expenses
- Postage and printing
If known in advance, payment will be required upfront.
All subject to vat (20%).
Additional Fees
There may be additional fees, additional fees are subject to vat (20%)
Travel Time
We charge a reduced hourly rate for travel
£100 per hour or part thereof + vat 20%

Do you offer free consultations?
No. All appointments and consultations are chargeable. This ensures you receive focused, professional guidance from the outset and allows us to allocate dedicated time to your matter.
Why do you require payment in advance?
Payment in advance secures your booking and ensures that time is reserved exclusively for you. This is standard practice for professional services and helps maintain fairness and clarity for all clients.
What happens during the initial consultation?
Your consultation is a structured session where we:
understand your concerns, goals, and priorities
identify the key issues
outline your options
discuss next steps and potential costs
You will leave with clarity and a clear direction.
Can I get a fixed fee instead of an hourly rate?
It depends - where the work is clearly defined, we offer bespoke fixed fees. For ongoing, complex, or evolving matters, hourly rates apply.
What if my matter becomes more complex than expected?
If additional work is required, we will always discuss this with you before proceeding. You will never receive unexpected charges.
What is included in the administrative fee?
Administrative fees cover mandatory compliance checks, identity verification, and document processing. These checks are required before onboarding and may be repeated during your matter.
Why do you charge for travel time?
Travel time represents time reserved exclusively for your matter. We charge a reduced hourly rate to reflect this while keeping costs fair and transparent.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy (7‑day Notice Period)
To ensure fairness and to protect the time reserved exclusively for your appointment or workshop, the following policy applies:
Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 7 clear days before your appointment or workshop will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 7 days of your appointment or workshop are non-refundable.
If you do not attend your appointment or workshop (a "no-show"), the full fee is retained.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without charge, if you give at least 7 clear days' notice.
Rescheduling with less than 7 days' clear notice will be treated as a cancellation and a new booking will be required, at a further charge.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, the appointment or workshop will still end at the scheduled time.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment or workshop may be treated as a cancellation.
Why 7 Days?
As a sole practitioner appointment or workshop require preparation, diary management, the need to protect time, there are also initial expenses to secure a meeting room and the costs of undertaking mandatory compliance checks. A 7-day window ensures fairness, reduces last-minute disruption, and reflects the professional nature of the services provided.
