Welcome to The Brew

What is The Brew? We are setting up a space to have informal chats over a virtual coffee.

A secure video link will be provided upon registration.

Our Format: Your Informal AML Coffee Chat

The Brew is designed to be a free-flowing conversation, just like catching up with friends over coffee. Each 30-minute session will have a specific theme (like the SRA's AML & Sanctions Data Collection!). Our host will kick things off with a brief 5-minute introduction to the theme, then the floor is open for you to share your experiences, insights, and top tips. It's all about mutual support!

About Your Host & The Brew's Unique Format

Your host for The Brew is Debbie Francis of Alexander Christian. Debbie is truly passionate about fostering open discussion and ensuring everyone feels at ease.

Let's be clear: The Brew is not a rigid webinar, seminar, conference, or a networking event. It's an informal space to connect, share a virtual coffee, and express your views and insights on the theme. Debbie will simply introduce the topic for about 5 minutes, then her role is to guide the conversation, encouraging participation from the community, not to provide a lecture for 30 minutes.

At The Brew, you are the stars of the virtual coffee!

This is why we think that The Brew is unique.

Our Brew Guidelines

To ensure "The Brew" remains a truly welcoming, valuable, and safe space for everyone, we kindly ask for a few things:

  1. Be Respectful & Kind: This is fundamental. Let's ensure our conversations are always supportive and positive for all attendees.
  2. Everyone is Valued: We believe every perspective and piece of experience is important. This is a space where all voices are included, respected, and contribute equally.
  3. Focus on Solutions, Not Blame: "The Brew" is for constructive informal discussion and mutual support. We won't be engaging in regulator bashing here – our aim is to find ways forward, together.
  4. This Is Our Private Space: To foster open and honest sharing, these sessions will not be recorded. What's shared at The Brew, stays at The Brew.
